Sungening Won the First Prize in the Industry Final (Biomedicine) of the 16th China Shenzhen Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition Longgang Division Qualifier & the 4th Longgang Innovation and Entrepreneurship Star Competition!

The Industry Final of the 16th China Shenzhen Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition has recently concluded. Sungening’s independently developed innovative drug project SG5035 — R&D of an Ultra-long-acting Anti-fungal Innovative Drug participated in the Industry Final (Biomedicine Track, Enterprise Group) of the 16th China Shenzhen Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition Longgang Division Qualifier and the 4th "Longgang Innovation and Entrepreneurship Star" Competition. After intense competition, the project stood out from numerous entries and eventually won the First Prize.

Sungening owns the global independent intellectual property rights of SG5035. As a Class 1.1 innovative drug belonging to the echinocandin class for anti-invasive Candida infection, SG5035 features the longest half-life globally in its category. It is expected to achieve single-dose administration per treatment course and is poised to become the world’s first oral echinocandin drug. At present, the SG5035 project is in the preclinical research and application stage, with plans for IND dual filing in China and the United States in 2025.
